What Dardo is
Dardo Research is an institutional analytics platform for Mexican fixed income. It takes the official end-of-day close for Mexican government securities (M-Bonos, Udibonos, Cetes) and TIIE swap levels and builds the morning toolkit of a rates desk: nominal and real yield curves with bond-level history, the Banxico-implied policy path decomposed meeting by meeting, ex-ante real rates and breakevens, and relative-value flies, slopes and crosses ranked by historical deviation, plus a daily research note and a weekly macro digest generated from Dardo's own numbers for that close.
The daily note is generated before the open and the weekly macro digest from Dardo’s own calculations for that close, never from third-party commentary. Every figure on the platform carries the date of the close it comes from.

Today’s note
The note subscribers received this morning, generated from the prior close. It is regenerated with every close.
The tape reads as a classic BULL FLATTENER: yields lower across the curve and the back end leading. The 2s10s sits at 162bp after tightening 4bp, the headline confirmation that duration demand outpaced the front today.
The long end did the work. The 10Y rallied 6bp to 9.210% and the 30Y rallied 6bp to 9.800%, while the 5Y rallied 4bp to 8.390% and the 2Y held firmer at 7.590%, down just 2.0bp. That asymmetry, the long end falling faster than the front, is the mechanical driver of the flatter curve; 2s5s tightened 2bp to 80bp and 5s30s tightened 2bp to 141bp. The move lands two weeks ahead of the Nov-05 Banxico decision, where the forward prices 6.495%, flat to the 6.50% overnight. The curve stays in an EASING regime: the year-end forward to Dec-17 sits at 6.367%, 13bp below the overnight, keeping cuts in the price through year-end.
The calendar is light but front-loaded. INEGI publishes August IGAE on Oct-23, the monthly activity read, followed by the September merchandise trade balance on Oct-27. Neither carries the weight of an inflation print, but a soft IGAE would reinforce the EASING path already embedded in the Dec-17 forward and support the back-end bid driving today's flattener; a firmer activity surprise would pressure the front and work against the move. The Nov-05 Banxico decision remains the dominant catalyst on the horizon, with the market already positioned for cuts.
Three RV signals stood out today: 2s10s Udi HIGHER than typical, 2Y M-UST TIGHTER than typical, and May31/Feb36/Nov42 BELLY CHEAP than typical. In the money market, 28d cetes close at 6.29% and 364d at 7.08%, with front cetes trading in line with OIS (basis inside ±3bp). Carry sits richest further out the curve: 02-Mar-2028 earns +99bp/y net of ON funding, versus +40bp/y on 20-Nov-2036 and -39bp/y on 03-Jun-2027. The full analysis and trade ideas are in today's Pro Macro.
Pro adds the relative-value signals, the per-bond analytics drawers and the weekly macro digest.
